Standard commission
The standard rate since 8 January 2026. It applies to the majority of categories.
TikTok takes its commission straight off the sale. Then come the creator share, shipping and returns — and only after that do you know what is left of an order. This page sorts the individual fees, shows the rates that have applied since January 2026, and names the costs that tend to disappear from the calculation.
Last updated: August 2026. Every rate and deadline on this page comes from the official TikTok Shop seller guidelines. Figures we cannot back up there we deliberately leave out.
New commission rates have applied since 8 January 2026. Which one you pay depends on your category and on whether your shop is new.
The standard rate since 8 January 2026. It applies to the majority of categories.
Electronics carry a reduced rate of 7%.
New sellers start at 4%. Before the change in January 2026 the rate was 5%.
Commission is only the first deduction. On its own it tells you nothing about whether an order ends up profitable.
Commission is the line everyone knows. It usually gets expensive because of the other four.
If the sale runs through a creator, their commission comes on top. You set that rate yourself as the seller — TikTok only suggests a reference value for it. There is no official range, so put exactly the rate you agreed into your calculation.
What you charge the customer for shipping rarely covers the actual cost. Your margin pays the difference — on every single order.
On a full return TikTok refunds the commission completely, on a partial return pro rata. The return shipment, the handling and, in the worst case, the goods still stay with you — revenue you had already booked simply disappears again.
Purchase price, packaging, duties: the biggest block and the only one you fully control. Without a clean COGS per product every margin is guesswork.
If you hand storage and shipping to TikTok, you pay storage and fulfillment fees instead of your own pick, pack and shipping costs. For Germany the storage fees are the documented part — and they are the line that hurts first when stock turns slowly.
per m³ and day, net (excl. VAT). The counter starts on the first day in storage.
per m³ and day, net. From day 31 the rate goes up. TikTok publishes no rates for storage beyond day 60.
Worked example from the official fee overview: 1 m³ over 60 days costs €42.90 — 30 days at €0.58 plus 30 days at €0.85.
Two figures circulating online come from the US fee schedule and do not apply in Germany: “from €3.05 per unit” and “the first 60 days of storage are free”. German sellers pay storage fees from the first day — there is no free storage period here.

Several steps sit between the order and the money arriving. How long that takes and which tier your account is on decides your liquidity — especially when you need to reorder stock.
Every payout is triggered by the delivery date, meaning the moment the parcel reaches the customer — not by dispatch and not by the end of the return window. If delivery is delayed, the payout moves with it.
The starting tier for new sellers.
The regular tier after the introductory period.
Performance-based — TikTok assigns the tier by its own criteria.
Also performance-based and the fastest documented tier.
Applies while your account is under a security review.
“A payout every 7 to 14 days” is not accurate. TikTok does not pay out on a fixed rhythm but per event: every order starts its own deadline on its delivery date. For liquidity planning that means calculating per order, not per week.

The fee question only arises where you can actually sell. Across the DACH region the picture differs.
TikTok Shop has been live in Germany since 2025. For most German-speaking sellers that market is the starting point.
TikTok Shop has also been available in Austria since 15 June 2026.
TikTok Shop is not available in Switzerland. As of May 2026 there is no announced launch date.
Octuno nets TikTok commission, creator commission, shipping and returns against your revenue automatically. The P&L shows per product and per day what is left after every deduction — not only at the end of the month.
Since 8 January 2026 the standard commission is 9%. Electronics carry a reduced rate of 7%, new sellers pay 4%.
New sellers pay 4%. The rate applies for up to 60 calendar days from completion of the mission. Before the change on 8 January 2026 it was 5%.
The official EU guidelines document no separate transaction or payment processing fee alongside the commission. The only additional fee stated there is the €10 chargeback fee. The percentages circulating online contradict each other and cannot be traced to any official source.
The payout is triggered by the delivery date. Depending on your tier it happens 31 days (introductory period), 8 days (standard), 5 days (accelerated) or 1 day (express) after delivery; under a security review it is 31 days. There is no fixed rhythm of every 7 to 14 days.
Not in Germany. Fees apply from the first day in storage: €0.58 per m³ and day for days 0 to 30 and €0.85 for days 31 to 60, each net. The free 60 days come from the US fee schedule and do not apply here.
On a change of mind, TikTok Shop and the seller share the return shipping cost; your share drops with a better return rate and a better Shop Performance Score. If the item is faulty or the wrong one was sent, you carry the cost in full. TikTok does not publish the exact split. The commission is refunded completely on a full return and pro rata on partial returns.
30 days from receiving the goods on a change of mind. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies independently of that.
No. TikTok Shop is not available in Switzerland, and as of May 2026 there is no announced launch date. Swiss sellers cannot use the channel at present.
